Balmain: Spring Summer 2012 Collection

Balmain is my favorite fashion house so I was excited about this S/S collection, I was especially looking forward to see what the new head designer, Olivier Rousteing, would bring.

Olivier Rousteing, 26 years old, is the new head Designer/Creative Director. The French/African fashion designer was born, grew up and studied in France, he has been in charge of the womenswear department at Balmain since 2009 and worked with Roberto Cavalli before.

For his debut, Olivier remained still to the shapes trademarks of the french fashion house but also brought a more sexy touch with drenched mini-dresses or suede mini-shorts .
The new head designer said that he wanted a "Las Vegas and Mexican bullfighting" taking influcences from toreador's bolero and cowgirls, ending up with a glamour Far West collection.

Silver and gold, high waisted bottoms, sharp-shouldered jackets, wide belts, embroidery with quilted silk and leather, take a look at this new collection of Balmain with those few pictures~~

He's such a cutie hehe

MA-1 Cross Jacket by Phenomenon

Check out this really cool new jacket from the 2011 fall winter collection of Phenomenon. The 3D relief cross in the back makes it pretty dope, even though I personally would maybe love it even more with a inverted cross.
